I have a 2004 Chevrolet suburban. It is the 5.3L with the 8 Digit in the Vin being a Z. I replaced the headers, lifters, push rods, cam, timing chain etc. Also put new gaskets on everything that I put back. I labeled every bag of bolts but found one bag that the label was smeared off. They are the only two bolts I couldn't find where they went. Any help would be appreciated if you identify where they go.

Who knows..Is your dipstick and wire harness bolted to the heads?

Good news is, they aren't internal.

I'd check this rear P.S. bracket.

I do know the power steering bracket has the correct bolts. The oil dipstick does as well as the harness down below. The only word I can make out on the zip lock bag that I wrote on before being smeared was vacuum. I've tried looking all over and even videos and can't find anything.

As was said, they are NOT internal bolts. When you fire it up, listen for any loose rattly stuff. It shouldn't be anything too critical, but keep your ear cocked....

I would say it's for the AC compressor bracket. There some bolts that are kinda hidden (go on the side) and different lengths.

On the back of the head on the driver side there is a bracket for safety incase the head gets pushed into the fire wall to keep it from rupturing the fuel rail. If you discarded said bracket, It may be for that.

It would be on the driver side rear of head and the vacuum line to the brake booster runs over the top of it. Lookup part number 12559767

Here is a picture below.

The ground bolts are much shorter than what you have pictured.

Only other thing I can think of would be AC compressor hoses to pump or the AC bracket to the block.

Metric 10 Bolts so definitely something external into the Head.
