Default Cutout location opinions

I am looking to get an cut out in the next couple of weeks. I am keeping my SLP Dual/Dual for daily use because it sounds so close to stock with the long tubes and ory. I just am not exactly sure were I should put the custom cutout in the system.

Here are the 3 options:
1)Dual cutouts in the Y-pipe before they merge like QTPs. (pic)
2)A single cutout in the I-Pipe right before it bends over the axel. (pic)
3)A single cutout in the I-Pipe just after it bends over the axel, before it enters the muffler. (pic)

I would like an exhaust that preforms well but does not leave alot of drone in the car. How much will I lose if I go over the axel with the Zed style cutout compared to the "jimmyblue" (option 2) style. Unless someone give me a really good reason to do the dual cutouts I am going to stay away from them. I will be buying an MPP2 or QTP for the system next month.

One cut-out in THE cutout niche (you'll see it, it's the most logical place and will jump out right at ya) in the I-pipe, behind the passenger seat.

Definitly go with option number 2. I think you'll get the most out of your cut-out with it right before the rearend. I'm not saying this because thats where i have mine. But i had a friend tell me thats where you'll get the most power out of a cut-out.

My cutouts are right where my exhaust bolts up to the end of the headers (One per side).

I can take a pic when my motor is back in, and I do have LTs, they have never rubbed yet.

Go with option number 2. That is where my QTEC is. Also, more advice: don't get a QTEC, they are not reliable. Save $200 and just get a manual cutout. Mine broke, and now it is just a $200 manual cutout.

I looked for manual cutouts before I bought my
McCord but didn't find anything larger than a 2"
(woo-hoo!). Though they're all just butterfly
valves and you could probably find a stainless
one on eBay if you waited long enough. The
beer brewers seem to snap them up for crazy
prices however.

I got both my 3in cutouts for about $30 each from ls1speed, and I wanted to get electric valves for them for sure next time around just because sometimes you need to quiet your car down and can't jump out and start screwing plates on (Like when a cop is coming up on you)
