I noticed that some guys are using just the regular meziere race water pump on the LS1. What else is needed to make it work. I also do not have heater or ac.
Car is mainly used for the track.
thanks, Brandon

I also have no power steering. What is the brand and part number on the belt that is used. Also, do you run a thermostat or do you use the water restrictors that moroso makes. Someone told me that the stock upper radiator hose will work but not the bottem. Will both radiator hoses work or not?
thanks in advance, Brandon

No thermostat with race version.
You can't run a belt around the water pump. I just run the crank to the tensioner flipped upside down (where PS used to be) and the alt and its good to go.
RTV and new gaskets are your friend. Mine still has a slight leak.

No. Car runs cold for a while until it heats up. Runs normal temps really depending on your fan settings. (this is on an NA SI LS1).
If you are driving it hard for extended periods of time it will run hot due to the lower flow of the water pump.
