If you have borla, you will have to take off the muffler system, and x pipe will have much much less rasp than a y pipe and no cats! You will have to take off the muffler system because you will have true duals and have to get new muffers. Good luck

Well, you can't use the Borla if you go with an x-pipe setup. blubyeu2000 has it backwards. It's x-pipe is louder (and deeper) with no rasp, and y-pipe with borla is n: going to be a bit raspy if you don't have any cats

The borla with no plate will probably be the loudest, but won't sound very good. The x-pipe setup, like TSP's, will be almost as loud with no rasp and sound better. IMO.

I have the TSP setup myself, and love it. There is no rasp and the sound is great!

Raspy isn't the word for Borla without cats. I can't even think of a word to describe how much I HATE my borla at 2000 rpms. I will be getting rid of it ASAP.

do you think it would be a big enough difference in rasp and sound if you had gmmg to go get a place to fab the xpipe in with the gmmg

Well, all they use is a chamber muffer. You could do it yourself if you really wanted too. I have not heard a car with an x pipe and two chamber GMMG style mufflers on it. All that borla is, is a damn cutout IMO.

You should seriously consider changing to a chamber style muffler like the sweet-thunders. I have them on my TSP setup and they sound GREAT! These things simply roar. Much better than the bullets I had before and less drone. They're pretty inexpensive too.

An X-pipe will not work with any of the standard catbacks. In order to use an X-pipe you need to build a completely custom exhaust. TSP, Speed Inc., Kooks, and a couple of others have developed prefit systems in order to put true duals on our cars. The X-pipe does an excellent job of using the exhaust pulses to pull out the exhaust (I am heaving mental difficulties today), and reducing rasp. Volume will be a function of muffler choice.
