My SSRA lives again!
As much as I've bitched about the quality of the SSRA, I do acknowledge it is an effective mod which has helped net me some pretty decent MPH traps in the past.
A few months ago, on a 4500k clutch dump launch, my SSRA bottom half decided it wasn't going down the track with the rest of the car. 3600lbs of car totally fought with the SSRA bottom half, and decided it was gonna come along for the first 1/8th mile, dragged and crushed.
So, I chucked the crushed bottom half in my trunk and it remained there 'till today.
Track staff with the belligerent bottom half:
So, after a bit of plastic weld, some black duct tape, 2 extra screws (I fastened the top half to the bottom half by drilling in two pilot holes for some long screws that now secure top to bottom), and some more duct tape, along with longer lower/bumper mounting screws, behold my Frankenstein SSRA. It's ALLIIVE!
It's pretty damn secure. It's not making any escape attempts. If it does, it's gonna take half my bumper with it now.

The RT ram air kit turned my 3rd Gen into a street sweeper, collected every little bit of dirt, leaves, bugs, etc. It didn't help my ET any either, though it might have helped more if I trapped more than 103 MPH.
