Bang for the buck has got to be the Pacesetters. I got in on one of the original GP for em. Got the whole setup... coated headers, off road Y pipe, bolts, gaskets, o2 sims w/extensions, for about $550 shipped. Great sound and no fit issues as all. Some people had problems with fit and orp clearance with the original batches but from what I've read they're re-engineered them for better fit. I'd recommend them to anyone.

My vote goes with Kook's b/c that's what I have. If you're still thinking of going with GMMG stay with a grott style header and by all means keep the cats in the Y. (Kook's, QTP and FLP) It'll sound the best. Kook's are supposed to be one of the easiest headers to install.

I think Pacesetters are the cheapest and perform great, but Hooker are the mindrange ones that I here great things about. Still my vote goes towards Pacesetters.

JET HOTs. While the pacesetters are a great deal, I think the better coating on the jet hots are worth the extra hundred bucks.

I'm hoping Pacesetter decides to commence bending
stainless.

Also a good budget choice but the thought of a header starting to rust (only available painted right now) after being on the car for only a few weeks isn't too appealing, all that labor etc.

As a note, I painted my ported iron logs several months back with
POR's "cast iron" high temp exhaust paint and the stuff has not
even discolored. You guys who are getting cheapo painted headers
might want to consider throwing some paint stripper on before
install, get them bare, hose them off and let them air-rust for a
day or two, and then put this stuff on there. It loves a little rust
for "tooth", and you can always touch up any scrapes.

The headers may put more of a hurt to this stuff as they are thin-
wall and permit less surface temp drop to save paint. But aside
from the first few inches at red heat, I think this stuff will do it for
you.
