header ground clearances

header ground clearances

i have a lowered ws6 and was trying to purchase a set of headers and y- pipe. can anyone suggest a set of long tubes that will not hang too low? i need all the clearance i can get. somebody told me that hookers gave the best ground clearance, is this true? thanks!

My car is lowered with PPC headers and the lowest part is the y-pipe not the headers, so I'm assuming anything of the Groty design will be the same. I used to have the QTP y-pipe but I had ton of clearance issues so I had a custom one made and have had no problems since. I have about 3" clearance at its lowest point.

Theres going to be a lot of different answers. My pacesetters fit nicely, but in all honesty. You're going to find this answer: Just about Every header except the SLP headers will be fine.

My Pacesetters provide great ground clearance...
Car is also lowered with Eibach Prokit..

I replaced my SLP LTs with Kooks LTs/ORY because of clearance issues...I couldn't believe just how well the Kooks tuck up in there...the clearance is almost as good as the stock manifolds and y-pipe...

Another vote for Kooks. My Kooks don't hang any lower than the stock set up did.

I have SLP LT's with the Eibach pro kit and I'm doing just fine. No issues.. But I don't use my car alot either. Any set of LT's will do you just fine. Good luck on your decsion!
