Default Volant Intake pictures

In case you want to take a look, I just finished installing it. I don't have pics on my site yet - need to wash the car before that

Answering all your questions....

Rokko: I don't notice any difference. I have to test the car at WOT to be able to tell, but I don't think it will make a big difference. I'm sure I'll feel it better when I get my Shaner S3

Alucard: I can take the pics, it just may take 1 day or so until I get my camera back.

SDC: I don't think I'll bother going to the dyno just because of the new intake. I'm sure the difference is very small (if any) from the SLP lid I had.

Wino: If you want the looks go for it, but I doubt it will make a big difference, but again it depends on what mods you already have. I believe the Volant may be overkill for me now, but now the intake is prepared for the future mods

4 out of 5 stars for Volant just because the fit wasn't exactly perfect, otherwise it's a great intake

I got one of the original ones when they first came out. I had it dyno'd back to back vs my Directflo lid and K&N(since i got the volant free this was my payback to them)

I dynoed 3hp and 4ft/lbs tq higher than the lid. Could be very negligible gains but it looks so much better than "another" lid and it sounds throatier too... mine is going on 3 years and still looks good.

I was going to get one, but people have told me after a few months they start to get dirty and start to look like ****. I think that it looks great in that pic though!

as long as you maintain the filters(cleaning them) it remains looking good.

How far off was the fit on yours, when i did mine i had to open up the hole in the airbox to get the PITA plastic Y to fit onto the MAF housing.

That things visually dominates everything else under the hood. How well does the air box seal to the hood.

It seals OK. It's not the best for the Ram Air hood, but I think it's better than the lid because at least it shields against the engine heat.

Mine wasn't too bad. I didn't have to cut anything. What I did was put together the Y pipe and the MAF before putting the box in place. After that, connecting the accordion style tube from the MAF to the TB was easy. I installed the filters last.
