Wow... that's great news... I like everything about the Edelbrocks except for the fact that you had to essentially put them together, which was pushing me towards the pacesetters.

But now if we can get the stepped header with this ti-tech coating with O2s welded in, I just might wait and see what happens.

Any time frame before this becomes a reality?

Yeah, me to. Im thinkin about getting the edelbrock headers and running true duals without a xpipe through a pair of 3.5" ultraflos.

I am not sold on their ypipe. It seems kind of pointless to go from a 3.5" collector necked down to the 3" ypipe out a 3" catback.

Do you think the coated Edelbrocks will be less then the coated Hookers? I am also really considering the new headers with the new coating they are talking about!

What did they look like? Did they still have a high velocity merge collector? What were the differences to what's currently offered with the Victor series?

I personally could not be a bit happier with my pacesetters and am willing to sacrifice 5 HP for great looks for a while instead of rust after a little while.

They are not stainless. I own them. They do come with everything you'd "need": O2 extensions,Gaskets,Bolts,etc.

They require welding
They work fantastic on my car
They would not be best for a mild setup due to the size of the primaries and collectors

The Y tucks up tighter than stock on my car. I gained clearance with their 3" Y...

They sound great in my opinion and were fairly easy to install.

I used ARP header studs.

With the coated headers you are missing out on the slip on merge collector. I'd rather go with the originals and have them coated myself. Which is what I did.

So are the merge collectors on the coated edelbrocks not as good as the slip on merge collector found on the orginal? Why would they change them and use a different collector?

They have a nice merge collector and are now all welded. No more 2 piece stuff. I haven't held a set of current victors in my hands. But these looked good.

I didn't asked an exact date.. but they should be on the street soon.
