good luck with the install. The IAT wires on my 99 were a little too short so I had to solder in about an inch on each of the two wires inside the loom. Other than that the installation was a breeze.

it'll work with any hood, but better gains will be had with a ram air hood.

I'm wondering the same...since I dont have ram air on my 00Z would it be better to get a CAI,lid and smooth bellows??

I think so because the filter is exposed to engine heat, with the FIPK...the Vloant kit has the filter in like a open box that would act as a shield from engine heat...so I was wondering if I got the Vloant kit and cut the bottom of the box out and installed a cold air duct I would get the best of both worlds right??? A completely exposed filter while still pulling cold air from infront of the radiator.

What do you guys think about my idea, would it work???

PLEASE some one help me decide,I want a induction kit but wanna make sure I do the right thing.

The install couldnt have been easier. Sounds good when the car is at idle, and I can feel a pickup over stock induction!! Love the FIPK.

Skip the FTRA did back to back tests with and without the FTRA and no gains were had, at the track and on a dyno. I know most LOVE their's but with the bottom of the airbox cutout the FTRA does nothing but costing you money. Now all you will FTRA's flame away, just stating REAL WORLD tests not SOTP feel.
