Default Pacesetters New Fitment?

Has anyone installed these latley? Do you still have to notch the K-member? I am not feeling good about opening the car up to rust issues later down the road by banging or cutting into metal on the car. Any suggestions?

Default Just Put Them In!!

Just got a set 2 months ago, no problems at all! They slid right in, in fact, when i slid em in and let it sit, they wanted to fall right out from the engine bay onto the floor! Easy install! Reuse your header gaskets though. Go to NAPA and get 3 inch muffler band clamps!! Takes care of the leaks! Loose the cats too.

Just put mine in a couple days ago, the drivers side barley fit - had to give it a few good hits untill it went into place. Passengers side slid right in no problem. I was actually really impressed with how well they went in, I thought for sure that I would have to do some notching etc.. Very good product for the price, welds were nice as well.

It seems odd that you had to hit them at all. Different people will put them in different as far as what angle you install them from. Honestly, these headers could not have went in any easier. It was as simple as getting under the car and just lifting them into place. There is no way that a more eexpensive header would fit any better, no way. There comes a point where it can only fit so good and these are at that point. The best 375 bucks I have spent.

Mine went in really easy. The passenger side took some work just to get it twisted right so it would go up in place. Once it was in place though, it kept trying to fall out from under the car. The new Pacesetters are really nice pieces.

Only thing I had to remove was the starter motor. I didn't have to disconnect the steering shaft or lift the motor. I guess all cars are a little different.

We had to disconnect the steering shaft on the set we just did. Other than that it was easy. Disconnecting the steering shaft is a lot easier than messing with the engine mount and provides the same if not more room.

even if u must knotch the k member, just sand down the little edge u knotched, then primer and paint over it. that should protect it well enough. then maybe slide a piece of rubber hose in between so as to not scrape the paint off if the header should want to hit it.

I just bought a set of pacesetter headers. I had a problem with them they had some high spots on the flange so I had to call them direct, there customer service sucks but they sent me a new one anyway. The headers were decent i've installed other headers on other cars so i have a good idear whats out there and i agree they are a good quality, but if you have a problem dont count on them to help you out

Where in the hell did you buy your Pacesetters LT headers from? I have been looking everywhere.
