lid is a good starting point, everything else is gonna start costing

LS6 intake manifold, cat-back exhaust, headers are great bolt ons, but they can get pricey

You must have a good warranty, 5 YRS? I did the lid, cam, headers. The car went from mediocre to bad ***. Pretty simple & not very expensive with good rewards.

Are you totally stock right now? If so, a lid as stated above is a great start. 10hp or so, about a $75-150 mod depending on the lid you pick and whether you want new or used. You can also get an exhaust cutout for cheap, about $35 plus the cost to weld. That and a lid should give you the 20-25hp you want.

You have a 2000 still under warranty? How? You mean an extended warranty?

yeah extended warrenty
i have g2 intake thats it...but i bought it like that AND also if you could tell me...the hood that it came with (it is a ram air) is HUGE!!! deff. aftermarket. twice the heith of my friends stock ram air hood. but what exactly is the G2...it doesnt have an air lid! it goes just straight from ram air nostrils to k&n filter intake. Some of my friends say the G2 isnt real just a sticker...i say that IS the g2!! is this true. i think an explnatn of G2 intake would be great!

Does it look something like this? If so it is the lid everyone is talking about.

If this is done check to see if this is done,Free ram air

Then if that is done, a cutout is a great CHEAP power maker. Go to any exhaust shop and tell them a cutout or "dump" and they will fix ya up, maybe $40-$75 depends how bad they want to do it.

Then your next step could be getting a cheap set of headers or a full exhaust. Then you can get a ls6 intake with is a great addition to a Y2K ls1.

Those things should give you that little bit extra that would still be VERY mild and won't void your extended warranty.
