RPM Jumps

When I'm pulling up to a light and push the clutch in the RPM's jump to like 1500 then don't start to come down until after I'm sitting stopped at a light. This started happening after the header install, I have not drilled my TB or anything weird like that. Any help is appreciated. TIA

I hope you have HP Tuners or LS1 edit, because that sounds like a running airflow problem to me. After those mods on my car, I had to lower the Running airflow tables, or else I'd get that, plus a kind of "cruise control" effect at driving rpms. Less restriction in the exhaust changes the amount of air needed to maintain idle while moving...

I suggest getting more opinions. Ask this in the tuning section

The headers have been on for about a month now, it's been doing ever since, but I was working through other problems with it.

I don't have either of those but i might be able to get access to them. Would getting a full dyno tune probably solve this. I figured I would get it eventually but this may speed it up a bit.

mine did that too then I discovered that I had left out the EGR to Intake manifold seal out. Put it back in and never had the problem again.

Well I ripped the whole EGR system out and have a freeze plug in it now, i'm pretty sure it isn't leaking. With that out I shouldn't need the seal right?
