electric cutout wiring - accessible power?
switch is center off, momentary in both directions and if you
aren't holding it down, no power is drawn. You might want to
check this out, maybe the switch or wiring is defective (or,
you went and got a fancy LED one that stays on; I went the
simple route). But the cutout itself should draw no power
except when you're moving the blade.
I was worried about it draining my battery as well.So just find a key powered wire to tap into.
FYI If you have headers and open the cutout you will lose around 5-10 hp because there is not enough back pressure. I was running lower times on the track with the cutout open so i had it dynoed and it lost around 10 hp with an open cutout.

i did the same thing and wired it up to the cigg, lighter... but that is not wired to the ignition..... so you need to change your lead to the traction control switch....
i think its the purple wire.... easy to find and change....
just change it and save yourself the pain.

Backpressure sucks.
Backpressure brings your tq peak to a lower point in the rev range (a suffocated tq peak at that) and makes the car feel faster due to the availability of the tq peak down low.
A cutout, 99% of the time, will increase your peak hp when open, plus give you better ET and MPH at the track. The more mods you've got, the more the gains the cutout will offer you.
