NO Air through front vents
Ok, I think I've got this thing pinpointed but i want to see if any of you have experienced this and know how to fix it. Today I had my PCM out doing some stuff and I broke a hard plastic vacuum line that goes into the 90 degree rubber elbow that controls air through the dash vents. (it's all behind the PCM) Basically while pulling the computer I broke this off on the line and not the fitting itself. Does this line to go the back of the intake anywhere to get it's vacuum? Should that be all there is to get it fixed? thanks for any help or ideas
all i have is defroster and floor heat, No AC either.

gotcha, but what if I think i broke the line that actually goes through the firewall from the connector? is that reachable in the passenger side floor/kick panel cover?

yea, thats a great idea. it should still hold the same pressure shouldnt it? something Advanced would have laying around. I guess it'd be 1/8" to 3/16" or even 1/4" ID
Thanks WilWaXU

sounds like the vacume line that controls the hot/cold flapper. you know that airbrake noise you hear when you turn the hot cold **** on the dash. its probably normally open to one side and uses vacume to hold it the other way, im assumin the a/c side since you dont have a/c now.

If it's a hard plastic bulkhead fitting and you can find the
lost piece of hose barb plastic, then the best bet may
just be, a bit of brass tubing (Ace hdwr) and a can of all
purpose ABS/PVC/CPVC pipe cement. Most of those vac
fittings are ABS I think. Anyway, drill out the inside a bit
on both sides of the break, to the tubing OD (less drilling,
or none, is better; snug fit). Get the tubing in there and
goop up a little cement, when it's tacky fit the stub back
up and hold it 'til it sets. The tubing is the strength and
the cement is the seal. JB Weld might be stronger if the
fitting is not ABS but some kind of fiber reinforced whatever.
At any rate, not having to fish a new vac line behind the dash
if good. Just don't leave any crumbs in the line when you
work, be clean.
