LS6 Intake vs. Z06 Intake

What is the difference between these two intake manifolds?,, If any one could help that would be great...

Do you mean LS1 vs. LS6?

The Z06 uses a LS6 intake manifold.

sorry,,, haha now i feel dumb,, I just hear some guys say Z06 manifold alot and didnt know if their was a difference between them sorry, but thanks for your help!

The Z06 intake makes way more power than the LS6 intake.

Just kidding,

same exact pieces (both are LS6 intakes) except that one off of a Corvette will be missing the small bracket for the throttle cable because the Corvettes are 'throttle by wire'...many just use the bracket from their old LS1 intake when making the swap.

The Stock 2001-2002 F-body LS6 is 12561184.

The Z06 LS6 is 12573572.

A year ago or so Jay at AS did some flow tests on both intakes and determined that the F body LS6 out flowed the Z06. It wasn't by alot, but it was better.

The Ls6 intake is what is on the ZO6. The Ls6 made for the fbodys are rumored to flow just a shy bit beter than the vette don't now why! Guess the 01& 02 fbody got it made, my slp is the Vette part # with a egr mod basiclly.

Shouldn't the question be "Which Z06 intake???"

There's also the LS7 to consider technically in this "comparison". Now if we ask which one fits on my LS1, then we can discount the LS7.
