Default finally got the borla on my thoughts inside

the borla doesnt sound anywhere near as good as i expected it to, i have the biggest plate in, when you rev it up in neitral its not as loud as the gmmg but normal driving it sounds a little louder than the gmmg, my borla doesnt sound as good as the sound clip of the one on ls1 sounds, and that car also has stock headers so i dont know whats wrong

depending on the year of your car it could be your cam specs or several other things

I really liked my borla on my 99. When I had stock manifolds it sounded just as good as my GMMG that I have on my 02 when it had stock manifolds. Run it wide open.

If you still have stock manifolds and stock y-pipe your car isn't going to be loud. Sorry.

Personally I think if your not going the headers - cats route , the best sound you can get with the stock manifolds and cats will be a cutout.

my g/f's 94 LT1 T/A w/ Borla Catback 75% open is the best sounding exhaust I have EVER heard. it sounds like 300 angry horses

I have borla on my 1999 T/A and it sounded great since day 1. I went wide open. Actually I have thought to quiet it up a bit , maybe I am getting to old !!!! LOL

My 95 Z28 sounded aesome with my Borla. Alot has to do with the firing order and that the LT's are iron blocks. Don't get me wrong my LS1 sounds great with the Borla too. It's just that the LT1 has a deeper tone to it.

I hate the way my borla sounds as well. I have SLP LT's, high flow cats in the Y, and its quiet as hell. I hate it.

Maybe its because your SLP longtubes and "high flow" cats aren't flowing worth a flip.

My wide open Borla sounded great, even with no cats. Kinda' raspy though. I sold the system and now have tsp duals- what a difference. Much deeper and much more evil
