Default Banging Floorboard - right under my feet, what is it?

Ever since I got my car back with the new setup (in sig) at about 35-40 MPH the something under the floorboard is banging. Is it the Y-Pipe? It feels nice and firm when I push on it.

What do you guys do to resolve it?

yes its the y-pipe.. what headers and y pipe? you can take some rubber and screw it into the floor above where it hits.. It will help a good bit. Others ive seen take a giant hose clamp with rubber attatched to it and put it around the y pipe itself..
Another fix would be to beat in the floor a bit where it hits... Other than that, that is just the way it is.. As far as I know anyway.

Headers and or Y pipe. Look for where it is hitting. It could be one of your clamps, so you may rotate it out of the way. Go for about 1" clearance between all exhaust parts and the rest of the car. Except for the mounting points of course.

y-pipe. Loosen the clamps, pry down on the driver side pipe and push up on the passenger side, tighten clamps back while your buddies pry.

Poly motor mounts definitely. You'll feel a good difference in the car with them anyhow, tightens it up. There is a LOT of slop in the factory motor mounts.

I had the banging and the rattling with my LT Kooks and Catted Y, and I got a tip to throw on a poly solid Transmission mount. It worked like a charm! All that torque causes some pipe bouncing and floor banging. So an easy and inexpensive fix would be that solid transmission mount to help stop all that transmission flexing. Check out Summit Racing's website and for $20-$30 bucks and a simple install it may work for you too. Haven't felt a knock since, even at WOT.
