BBK SSI intake

has anyone heard any good or bad news about the new bbk ssi intake

I would not even bother waiting for it. If it is held up this long, I would wager it is a pooper and they can't pull any good numbers out of it. You have to figure, the first companies that tried to out-do the LS6 intake all pretty much failed too. Even the FAST intake isn't all it is cracked up to be.

its an overweight piece of ****!

why would you want a 25lb intake that will gain 10rwhp
when you can get a 2lb intake that will gain the same, without the heat soak!!

Forget about any aluminium LSx manifold- HEATSOAK. Unless you plan to polish it for the bling factor, why waste horsepwer because of heatsoak? You can put you hand on an LS6 mani when the engine is warmed up. (briefly, but you can do it.) Try and do that with metal. Imagine yourself having to inhale the HOT air from the metal compared to plastic. Makes you cringe doesn't it?
