True Dual Help...
Ive fabbed up my own true duals a few times now. I keep making revisions and redesigns. I have a small welder, and angle grinder, and I had bought lots of straight pipe and U bends to cut up from summit and jegs. You can find great deals on ebay on carsound cats and magnaflow mufflers, both of which are good components to fab up your own exhaust.
If your designing from scratch, you might want to start out right away with both sides going over the passenger side axle. Either get the BRP upper PHB relocation kit of just remove it completely. Its much easier than trying to fit on over each side. Running both over the pass side allows for much higher ground clearance, since it follows where the stock exhaust tucks up. Also, the more bandclamps you use throughout the system, the more adjustable and tweakable it will be once its on the car.

here's a thought to help you out though. might want to get pics of lane's system and the bassani system. then have your friend or an exhaust shop look at the pics and see how it's done. then you'll have what you want. and they can se how it goes over the axle on the right side without the need for aftermarket suspension parts.
You can read my post there if you like.
If you can weld, you can put together a over the axle system. Just buy mandrel bends, and use your stock exhaust as filler pieces in your duals. No need to relocate the panhrad bar if you are going 2.5" over the axle.
