Any reason for throttle sticking >2% until stopped?
I've spent the last week tuning my car, and have noticed that sometimes the throttle will stick 1 or 2% until the car comes to a stop. Then it goes to zero. Unfortunately, it's not a false reading as I can feel the difference in the way the car cruises/coasts. It almost acts like having running airflow tables too high...It's a cable operated TB (90mm TPiS) on a TCS equipped '98 TA. I've checked the spring and there seems to be plenty of tension. I've also tried from loose to tight throttle cable settings, but can't seem to find the reason.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks

I may be wrong but i think thats totally normal.its the computer doing it.my car is bone stock with 12k miles on it and it does that.keeps the rpm at about 1000 until i totally stop.

Hmmm, interesting.
I wonder if my running airflow is too low.... Maybe I'll log the IAC for a while and toy with the running airflows to see if I can get that control shifted back to the IAC.

Actually it is not normal for the TPS reading to stay at 2% until stopping. I have a stock 02 z28 that will hang around 1000 to 1100 untill stopping but the TPS goes to 0% as soon as I let off the gas. The IAC is just holding open till I stop.

I've checked all my A-tap logs from last year, and it never did it before. That's why I was asking. I guess it's not really hurting anything, but I'd rather have it really close so I could factor any side effects of it out of my lugging problems... I'd rather have the RAF tables to the idle control work until stopped.

The electric throttle cars have no IAC servo and
they use the throttle angle to control the idle
airflow and the throttle follower. But this says
cable TB.
Maybe the cables are over-snug, or something?
Might try a little spray lube, and readjust the
adjustable ones?
Also grime on the seating circle might make closing
a little crusty and only settle in with some vibe? A
little wipe-down with non-silicone oily rag and a
few hard snaps shut might fix that.
