Don't blow $50. Do the "fernco" or "hump hose" mod. I got my "hump hose" from airflow industries for $15 shipped. Little boiling water and trimming....voila, instant smooth bellows. Do a search, you'll see what i mean and it should turn up a link to the site where you can order it.

If you get it, get it because it looks nice, not because it will give you extra power (cuz it won't).

Hey now, I firmly believe that a smooth bellows type of mod will get you at least 0.25-1 horsepower.

Every little bit counts. And if I you end up running, say 13.002, you'll really wish you'd done those little things.

I spent $7 at home depot on my 'fernco' smooth air bellows for my cars. Just take the clamps off and throw it in the microwave until its really hot, get some good gloves and hurry and go install it. Might be worth a hp or two, every little bit counts.

I'm pretty sure I got a 3.5x3.5, or at least 3.5x3 for my 'hump hose'. The 3" just sounded way too tight.

I bought the one from airflow industries because it is a little bit more forgiving than the fernco one. The fernco has been known to crack the tabs off air lids.

Forgot to mention that part. The airflow industries one is a little more flexible and has a single rib as well.

I got the 3x3, just get it hot and it slides on. Myself nor anyone I know has ever had any cracking issues, but yes it is a tight fit. It is only $6-7 with tax though.

For those who wondered, here is where I got my "hump hose" from. Non sponsor, but none of the sponsors offer this product AFAIK.

neweraperformance parts > sponsor > is selling hoses from HTS that are made to fit to the TB and MAF perfectly. Last I saw as 6.99 + cheap shipping for 2. off their ebay store. Haven't seen them listed onsite yet, but I'd imagine you could give them a ring.

4" on TB and 3.75 on MAF if you want to find a nice silicone hose. Personally I hated the FERNCO, as it made my lid pop out of the retaining tabs, and it was just a pure PITA to mess with.

Brandon....looks like Brandan(99Camaro_SS) runs faster than you do with a cam, w/only bolt-ons and a stall
