I have 1 3/4 QTP HVMC headers... If I had it to do over again the only thing I would change is the 1 3/4... I would step up to 1 7/8

That leaves me with roughly $300 to put into something else. So the Pacesetters will rust.......I care not. They will still work years from now. Even if after 5-6 years they finally rust through, I can still buy another set and be well under the price for the stainless steel. Yes, if I had gone with the Stainless steel to begin with, this would be a moot point. But after seeing how easy the headers were to install, I would rather put that extra money to something else. My sig is a little misleading, however, I gained .5 and 4 MPH with my Pacesetters, TD's and a lid. This was replacing the stock dual/dual which flows very well. My .02, 500-600 bucks is not worth the 5-10 rwhp. That extra money could be put towards a stall or a cam in my case. All that said, the Kooks/QTP's are still the best out there!
Thank you Now lets end this, my eyes hurt. The QTP's are nice though......lol

So your saying......you like the KOOKS huh !!, hahaha

My vote is for the KOOKS also, I'm about to buy them unless something sways my mind...I doubt it will happen though.

I am thinking of getting the KOOKS and then having them powdercoated
of course with high temp stuff. This is something I would like to do... we will see if it is logical.

- so it sounds like the consensus is kooks, which is what im going to be putting on soon, GMMG also seems to be the fan favorite on this site so its decided: money not being a factor the ULTIMATE exhaust set up is Kooks with GMMG (not counting true duals)

Got QTP's and love em. also easy to install to, but then again I installed them at the same time with my heads and cam, but they went in with no trouble at all.

If I ever buy headers again, Im going with the cheapest flat black ones I can get, that still maintain decent quality. So with that said pacesetters! Its been argued over and over again like you said. In the end after all the things I have read from professionals and enthusiasts, Ive come to the conclusion that the minimal difference in all the performance headers out there isnt a big place to go looking for power. Unless your a pro racer looking for every single ounce of power. Just my opinion! Thanks Guys. Goodluck

i've had pacesetters on my car for about two years and besides the minor rust on the bottome they've done fine. i dont know about you guys but the apperance of a headder when i cant see them unless i go wheels up doesnt concern me one bit. what i care about is the coating up top to keep engine bay heat down and so far thats held up just fine. i would never spend the $1000+ on headders that only made a few HP diffrence. i plan on getting new edelbrock headders because their stepped, coated, and last time i checked they're around $500. the bigger primary would work alot better with the juice also. but other than that i would keep my pacsetters or buy another set.

I've got Jet Hots right now, while the part visible from the engine bay is still blinging. The part underneath the car is pitted and rusted.

If I were going back in time and doing all over again. I'd get Kooks or QTP's no doubt.

People on here have said that the coating even comes off the jet hots. They're gonna rust either way so why waste $ on coated headers? I say cheap as possible and go for the uncoated pace setters.

I like my FLP's and they are holding up good(little rusty on the underside--NEVER SEE WATER OTHER THAN A WASH!) But I have heard all good things about kooks and wouldnt mind going that route...But my car had FLP's on it when I bought it, so they didnt cost me anything, they'll stay put...

Id get the qtp's. I have seen them on sale for $650. Coated headers seem to always rust.

I would go with stainless headers. Ceramic coat looks like in a couple of months here in the south because of all the moisture in the air it makes them rust.

I have the Edelbrock Victors 1 3/4 - 1 7/8, I wanted a equal length header but didnt want to pay too much.

I say Pacesetter.

It's a friggen landslide.

Hey guys, everyone says Kooks and QTP are about the same as far as quality and performance but the collectors look so different. Can anyone comment on that issue?
