Default Who's running jet hot headers?

I was thinking about buying a set of headers and the jet hots appealed to me due to price. Anyone with info on these feel free to chime in. I heard they are just hookers with the 02 bung rotated to face inside?

Thanks guys

Hooker, jet-hot and pacestter are all the same basic design. The jet-hots do have inboard O2 bungs. Honestly I'd have a very hard time passing up a set of coated pacesetters for $375. I've had my jet-hots for a couple years now and the lower half is pretty rusted, but that's what you get unless you go with stainless steel. The primaries, at least what you can see from under the hood, still look really nice though. Installation wasn't bad, I did have to notch the K-member a little but I hear that isn't necessary with the newer ones. I also removed the steering shaft and oil diverter plate for the install, no big deal.

I went with the jet hot LTs and catted y pipe.

if I had to do it all over again, I would have just bought the LTs only and had a muffler shop fab up a custom catted y pipe.

I have had mine on for about 2 years and they still look good. there is a little rust on the y pipe, but thats about it. installation was fairly straight foward and there was no need to cut or bend anything.

Yes, you need a Y-pipe. Even if you have an aftermarket Y-pipe (which yields no power gains on stock manifolds/cats) you still need one made to match up to the headers.

I've had the Jet Hot's on a DD going on 2 years now. Like the headers but the y-pipe is crap. Get a custom y-pipe made if possible. Mine almost broke in half. The new one a friend fabbed up for me sounds alot better. Probably because the merge is alot smoother. The passenger side on the Jet hot Y comes in almost at a 90 degree angle

Thanks for all of the replys guys. The jet hots are looking pretty good. What is all involved with removing the egr and the air. I know it will throw some ses lights. Is this something I can remove permanately with a handheld programmer?

Buy what you want, its your money. Can I however give you some honest advice that I have learned from hands on experience with 4 different brands of headers?

Get the Pacesetters unless you are gonna buy an expensive set of stainless headers. If you are getting a coated header there is no need to spend an extra dime on anything over the 375 dollar price tag of the Pacesetters's. The Pace headers have the same thickness flange as the jet hots, and the bungs are on the inside like the jet hots. The fit and clerance ae also the same or better than the Jet Hots.

Like I said, its your money. Just know that you are not getting a better header buy going with Jet Hots over the Pacesetters, only a bigger price for the same caliber header.

I have jet hots with no complaint, I would buy them again. Only reason why I want to pull em off right now is to go with a 1-7/8 QTP with merge collector.
