Mufflex makes a 4" catback with a Flowmaster muffler and single tailpipe, and it sounds AWESOME.

I cut off that stupid flowmaster and put a 4" magnaflow race muffler on it, performs much better.

I have a 4" exhaust I built myself out of stainless steel mandrel bends. The three inch header collectors feed into three inch tubes, then into a Flowmaster Y merge with 4" output. That dumps into a Borla XR1 race muffler with 4" input and output, then ends just before the rear axle. It's loud, but it sounds good. I have a three-inch single over-the axle tube that I can easily install when I'm not racing to make it quieter.

I never did ask you when you posted pics on FRRAX, but what kind of ground clearance do you have right at the XR1? I'm guessing that's the lowest point on the car?

Mufflex does indeed make a 4" catback.

I ran their single outlet 4" with the Flowmaster muffler, but swapped the muffler for the Dynomax Ultraflow welded muffler. I was worried that the Flowmaster was restrictive.

If you did not go Mufflex, you can look around and go to truck places and buy 4" bends and cobble one together yourself if you have skillz.

I dont know about any exhaust shops but the 2 MAIN mail order companies that send their catalogs out both sell 4" tubing. Its roughly 15 bucks for a 4 foot section.

Default a little confused though

maybe I am retarded but why is there a mufflex catback system with flowmaster mufflers (or spintech). Isnt mufflex the muffler? I mean you dont get a magnaflow catback with a corsa muffler so I guess I just have no clue. Help a retard out. Thanx.

I 2nd the awesome sound. My friend and I built a 4" exhaust out of mandrels and a 40-Series and such on a 3rd-gen T/A, and it shook the ground idling... I mean, you could feel it in your chest. At 7500 rpm though, it sounded more like it was happy, instead of like it was straining a nut to keep going.

I run 3-1/2" exhaust over the axle. LOUD is an undertatement. Stainless Works sells the full 3-1/2" system FWIW.
