I get your point, just don't want to bolt up the stockers to my new head. I live in Cali. so they gotta be 50 states! I appreciate the feedback though

I have LT's and an ORY, I am also in Cali . I really feel that it is worth swapping them out every three years.

I am running JBA's and like them a lot excellent quality and with the mufflex test pipes you can run without cats and put them on pretty easy for the smog test. putting down 415 all motor can't complain.

That is the way to do it. I still think a lot of the gain for LTs over shorties is that people with shorties keep their cats, while LT owners eliminate them or at the worst have larger high-flow cats. That is why there is such a performance difference.

Forget shorties. Go with LT or midlengths at least.

JBAs. They're good quality but might as well be stock manifolds. Only making 356whp with TR224 cam and tune.. I know another guy with my same mods making the same power here.. Im assuming the JBAs are our bottleneck

the JBA's are 1 5/8ths. Don't seem to bottleneck my setup very much. However my car peaks at only 5800. Don't want to switch to long tubes as it would be a waist of money since I am going single turbo in a year or two from PTK.

I don't think the BBK's have a CARB# yet though.

With my TR224, I made 397whp and 387wtq.....get the LT and do it right, otherwise, start coming up with excuises on why you lost the race.

He lives in california and can't/doesn't want to do longtubes, hence the question. No offense, but you aren't helping. Everyone knows longtubes make more power. California sucks.
