yeah what they said, put an X1 on it and it'll take most of the rasp/drone out of it.

id look into a whole new catback if you dont like your LM. If its not your style, your probably not going to be able to fix it.

I like the sound of the lm by the way. Over a period of time though is another question.....

I'm happy with my Hooker cat-back. I had to alter the angle on the passenger side hanger and turn the driver's side hanger attachment around but other than that it was a breeze. You might want to get a new hanger for the Y-to-I-pipe connection before you take it apart. That would be a good thing for any brand, I guess.

The borla in the I pipe will help if you are not lowered...If you are lowered put a magnaflow ultraflow SS muffler in the driver exit portion of the exhaust (the part paralell to the rear facia. The drone actually comes from the driver exit portion of the exhaust...May also try some sound deadning under the exhaust heat shield in that portion (under the hatch area).

Borla XR-1 to replace resonator, or a new cat-back.

I had the same problem when I had my 94 T/A and had the Loudmouth exhaust, awesome at first but shortly after I hated the rasp and drone. Sold that car and got the Magnaflow on my 99 T/A and absolutley love it, couldn't have made a better choice.

I wouldn't bother with a LMII muffler, or a dynomax bullet (same basic things). I'd just skip right to the XR-1.

Why couldn't he put two cut outs in his y pipe or one before the resonator?
It would be loud but wouldn't get the drone.

How well does the XR1 eliminate the drone/rasp? To a "normal" aftermarket exhaust level? Still worse than it? Thanks!
