yea the oval piping was made in a press...i just sandwhiched it with two 2x4's and slowly walked my way down the pipe...for bends i cut oval pipe at 22 degree intervals with a chop saw and welded them together.

the two pipes that run back from the headers are regular round pipe, then they merge into the oval pipe when they make the turn out the side...i tucked them up really high to teh body and glued some insulation under the body.

the exit is right behind the passenger seat.

my buddy is putting the pictures on his PC and should be here soon.

I personally think that it looks terrible. But, thats just my opinion. The tips just dont do it for me. They need to be at more of an angle towards the back of the car. They look like they are just straight out the side of the car. If they were at a good angle and the tips were "slash cut" in the same angle it would look pretty damn good to me.

The car looks really good tho.

I personally think that looks like ***, I agree MAYBE if the tips were different but i just dont care for side exhausts on any F body. Nothing against you or the time and effort you put in it but I just dont like it. If you want a Saleen get a Saleen, that and the lightning are what this needs to be left for. Win the burnout contest?

I would love to hear it, I bet it sounds sick as hell. I'm not to fond of the look though. I hope you like the look!! By the way, it looks like you just had it at the track. Did you get a chance to run it after the install? If so, what did it run, and what was the improvement?

I think you did a great job. I do agree that you should try to change the tips or you should tuck them further under the car so only the exit is seen and not the top of the tip.

You really have to wonder how you will do on speed bumps. I think if I were to do this I would have to see if I could fab it so it exits out from the body like some stangs do or go to the boom type exit to get more clearance.

Regardless, you did a good job and have something very unique.

thanks for the feedback...i had to have them exit there because of how my SFC's were setup...the mounting bolt for the SLP's is about where i wanted the pipes to exit originally...i had to cut a notch into my SFC's in order to get the pipes to fit through and maintain some ground clearance.

i may slash cut them and try to get them towards the back tire a little more in the future...i was also going to cut them flush with teh subframe connectors but was worried about hurting teh paint.

just driving around town i have yet to scrape on anything, im also lowered.

i put a set of auger mufflers in teh pipes.

i was in a burnout contest at the track two nights ago...so i basically destroyed my BFG's to sound cool and do an insane john force rolling burnout.

and it has been confirmed...they shoot flames.

I was wonering how you got the pipes so close to the body. I wouldn't want to notch SFC's or the rocker flange. Cut them inline with the body and paint them black...that'll make 'em look nice.

I think it needs different tips, ones that will push it closer to the rear wheels. Also, shouldn't you have rubbed vaseline or some non stick substance on the fendor to keep the rubber from sticking or is that just a rumor?

I love them. Function over form at it's purest!

Once I get out of auto-xing and regular lap days, I'll have to do that (rules stipulate that exhaust cannot exit under car - like mine does). Of course, by then, I'll have no interior. My plan is to hammer the hell out of the rear footwell, then tuck the pipes up under the car - maybe even on top of the SFCs - and exit out the sheet metal of the door.
