you can buy the bassani from any bassani dealer or bassani directly. don't know if you would get a better price from other vendors. bassani created the system. bassani asked vinci if they had someone that could independantly test it for them. i agreed. i was the first to dyno and track test it for them.

if enough people are interested, i can talk with vinci to see about a GP on it.

current pricing is
$949.00 stainless
$779.00 aluminized

Lets do a GP on it, I am game for SS especially if we can get it below $949.00 current price. If not, i'll go with the aluminized as a second option.
PM or email me at rnixon1@austin.rr.com with more info when you get it. Thanks!

i've got the bassani cat back with the 4*8 muffler. i've got kooks long tube headers with catted y-pipe,stock engine internals and it sounds awesome!! started it from a cold start and it had a nice deep throat note to it. quality and fitment were great. did not have rasp ploblems. pretty quiet at idle and cruising speed(auto,3.73 gears) and of course loud as HELL at wot. got the exhaust for $662.00 shipped.think it was well worth it. my thoughts

Haha my bad man, I actually read in the intial thread when the system first came out that you were doing the testing, and somewhere between then and now I just figured you worked for them or something, sorry bout that. I would be interested in a GP as well depending on how much the price comes down since my cam is going in soon and I dont want to spend too much money on the car since its going into the garage for the winter soon.

Where did you purchase the system? $662 for a catback only? That seems kinda high IMO...did you get SS or aluminized?

I know its stainless as I looked at it also and I know Tbyrne sells it. Yea its only a catback, and its priced in the borla/corsa/b&b range, thats why no one really has it on the board but I have heard a clip of it and it sounds real good, even on stock manifolds. I think its called the bassani ATF system?

There is a good reason for that. Besides GMMG isn't used very often, it is becoming very popular though.

the reason why there's more GMMG over the bassani (i'm refering to the tru-dual sytem) is because it's been out longer. the tru-dual just became available january 2005. how long has GMMG been out?

Bassani released their catback pretty late in the game for F-bodies. Most people didn't even know it was out till well after it had been released. I'd say that's why you don't see it used very often, but it's better that way, makes it less common.

I was one of the first to use the system (Street Comp version, not the duals), and I've loved it ever since. Anyone that has heard the system on either of my LS1 cars has loved it. I've had it with headers/cam/ORY, headers/cam/cats, and with stock manifolds/cats. It sounded great every way.

I've heard GMMG as well. Personally, I would not trade this system for anything else, including GMMG.

Depends on how loud you want it.GMMG is louder all through the RPM's but I'm happy with my Bassani"Street competition" catback.I have had nothing but compliments with mine.At WOT which is very important is sounds great.

Can you make the Bassani or GMMG fit up with the Center Mount Exhaust?
