Maybe, I wouldn't think it'd be too restrictive w/ 3" ID, but hopefully the 4 muffs would keep it quiet.

I just had my PowerStick welded to my LM2 setup. The verdict is...

EXE-F*CKING-LENT

It took the LM2 and gave it even more throaty of a sound. It even reduced cabin drone. It is still loud but more mellow and throaty, not the highly vibrating "deep but almost ricey" v8 sound the lm2 bullet produced. Couldnt be happier... well i could if i bought the powerstick sooner and didnt pay double for installation... damn.

sound clips to come as soon as i borrow a camera with digital video capabilities.

So you put it in the i-pipe and are running it WITH the bullet in the LM2, or you replaced the bullet altogether?

2k WS6 -- Glad to hear you like the new setup. I think I'm going to be chopping off my stock muffler soon so I have something similar.

I'm bringing this thread up from the grave. Did you ever have a chance to get sounds clips? What size powerstick did you buy to replace the LM resonator?

Also, did an LS1TECH sponsor start selling these powersticks?

Thanks!

I thought I remembered when looking at those a while back that they were mild steel, not stainless?

I'd like to know how this would sound compared to GMMG. Does it sound similar? Have you heard a GMMG to compare yours to? I'd think it would have a similar sound. I've been curious about doing this as a cheap alternative the the GMMG.

i'm sure one of these in place of a lm resonator would sound good on stock manifolds/cats, but i wanna know how it would sound and how loud it would be with qtp's and ory.

I have 2 3"ID powersticks sitting in my garage that are 20" long waiting for wednesday morning to come when my custom 3" TD's under the axle are being made. I will post a sound clip as soon as I can. probably the end of the week.

Im running spiral flows run out the back under the axle and its not that much louder than my catback was inside the car. It's my daily and I have no complaints at all about the sound.

I'm really interested in this set up also. I've made it three weeks with the ORY and LM and it's time for change. If I drove wide open all the time it'd be great! Otherwise it sounds like you're firing a machine gun at an old metal garbage can!
I want a deeper tone but don't want to kill the flow.

i have this setup in my car... its a tsp rumbler with a 20" long 3" ID powerstick in the I-pipe. The best sounding catback for a car with stock cats/manifolds!!!!!!!!! its way deep and throaty and rumbles at idle... ahhh i love it.

Picture in your mind a mid year('67 427ci/435hp) Corvette with 2.5" chambered factory sidepipes.

Quick Reply: Chambered muffler like sweet thunder, but 3" ID
