Default Weiand intake on LS6 crate engine?

My LS1 died. My local Chevy dealership is going to install a crate LS6 in my 98 SS! I'm thinking of putting on either a MTI, BBK or FAST TB, (more bling), and a SLP pully.

I have searched and read many discussions on the heat soak issue with this intake. However, I am not concerned about losing a few HP. I am not going to race the car...well I may make a pass or two at a strip, and I’m not going for the most HP I can make. My SS has 105,000 miles, and is my daily driver. Anyway, I'm going for the BLING factor.

The posts I read mentioned both good and bad experience with this intake. Guys who installed this intake, for the BLING factor, did this intake meet the BLING fastor? I'm looking for current info on this intake. Also, any thoughts on the TB? Thanks.

Fred

Why not mix BLING and PERFORMANCE. Get a LS6 and Paint it like car color or something.
Forget the Weiand it sucks.

I thought about having mine ported, but I would rather go for a larger billet unit which would give more performance and bling. The question is, 75mm or 78 mm?
