Default Throttle body bypass

I live on Long Island and was wondering if the cold winters would cause my throttle body to freeze up if i did this mod? Is this mod worth the expense to switch back and forth from summer and winter if needed?

I don't think anyone has ever had one freeze up. People have done this mod in Alaska and not had a problem. I'd say go for it.

this mod bypasses the coolant flow throught the intake. manufacturers do this to help steady the idle

The coolant normally flows through the TB(not intake). This heats the TB and keeps the butterfly from freezing(will never happen). This has nothing to do with steadying the idle as far as I know. Bypassing the tb keeps the tb/intake tract cooler and adds maybe 1-2rwhp if you are lucky...every little bit counts mod.

Don't waste your money on the kit. Just pick up 2 feet of 5/16(i believe) fuel line from autozone and you're done.

5/16 is indeed correct. 2 hose clamps as well and you're good.
