Cold Air Induction??
I have the SLP ram air hood. Since I got that ram air, is the cold air induction needed or will they cancel each other out. Will the CAI work just as good as if I didn't have the ram air or not?
Any input is greatly appreciated
Thanks

he probably thinks that because the ram air hood is open, its "forcing air" in there, creating forced induction
Just kidding though.
but yes, it will be fine.

ahh.. you know it's just a hood right? if you're going with slp you need their cold air induction kit then.. to get what you want.. Don't worry I'm going throught the same thing too.. except I'm wondering if I need a hood that has an opening to get it to work.. or not.. I'd hate to spend like 5-7 hundred bucks for a hood just to get "ram air", or cold air induction. Plus what they meant by the topic by forced induction is superchargers.. that's why you're in the wrong forum..thought I'd let you know

but anyway, I've got that damn k&n fuel injection performance kit(which was on there) but I'm wondering if it counts as ram air because it is an open air element and that's all that ram air is right?

Ram Air, as it is on the 4th gen cars, is false advertising. It's mostly there as a throw back to the previous generation Ram Air III and IV etc. that actually worked like they claimed. Get a turbo.

so, you mean a vortech centrifual supercharger has paracitic losses too? hmmm.. I really wouldn't know man, seriously I just picked up the camaro like a month ago... the supercharger really sounded better to me. let's just say that american is totally different from import that's for sure Most of the stuff I know is about imports.. I just fell in love with the camaro so I thought I'd buy one.

I love superchargers, but I just don't like the ones available for the F-body. That's just me. I am actually very excited about any possible pioneers who'll try the KB twin-screw on an F-bod. I hope somebody will.
