Default Which set of Kooks for my mods?

I'm going to get some Kooks LT's wthout emissions. Car will have an F13 with stock heads and 100 shot for the strip. I'm looking for the most power with my future setup without sacrificing too much low end torque. Should I get 1 3/4 straight or stepped to 1 7/8's? Which size collector should I get also 3" or 3 1/2"? This is going to be with their catted y, Magnaflow catback and cutout. I've heard I should stay with 1 3/4 all the way back for stock cubes but the site recommends different sizes for cam and nitrous cars. I'm thinking that the f13 isn't really large enough to benefit from a larger than 1 3/4 inch header though and I should be goot with the smaller. I could be wrong though. Thaks for the help!

If your looking for the max gain on the spray, I'd get the stepped. Other wise, I don't believe the stepped version would help. You deffinatlly want the 3" collector for that set-up.

Is it really going to be that much of an improvement stepped on the spray which most likely will be track only? Will the step not help NA?

Also interested. I plan on the same set up.

I've seen a few posts that say there are gains to be had even stock from a 3/4 to a 7/8...Personally, when i get headers I'm prolly going to spray so i'm going to go with 7/8

I would also say stepped since you will be having plenty of hot exhaust gas while spraying.

ok correct me if im wrong but dosent 1 3/4 handle up to 650-700 hp. if you have a street car why would do want headers any bigger than 1 3/4. plus having the stepped headers will probably hurt you in the long run if u dont have the horse power to support them(having 500hp to 650hp is going to hurt the performance with 1 7/8).

1 3/4 unless you have bigger cubes.
