Default jet hot catted y

How exactly would you go about taking the cats out with all the exhaust bolted up? It doesn't seem like there would be enough play in the system to take that whole section of pipe out. Any suggestions? Also, the 2 sections of pipe that have slits in them, do those ends have to be crushed to fit into the other sections of pipe? Which side should those slits be facing, the front or the back of the car? Sorry so many questions, I want this to go as smoothly as possible tomorrow.

It'll be tough, but you should be able to slide the cats out just undoing the clamps that are on the cats.

The things are only like 4" long, so you'd only have to slide the pipe 2" back to get one side off.

As far as the slits, I dunno what you're talking about. Here's a pic of them lined up.

You may need to get the I-pipe off of the Y(letting it hang down) to give you enough room to slide the Y off of the cats. It may also take a few wacks with a rubber mallet to persuade it off as well.

This Y is a really nice piece.

These 'baby' cats work really well in dual systems too.

"nice piece?"

I think it's a piece of crap.

Slip fits in tons of pieces that leak no matter what you do.

Cats that are jokes for cats.

No merge collector, just one piple welded into the side of another.

Doesn't fit right unless you cuts pieces off the bottom of your car.

I do love the headers, but the Y pipe blows.

Well, I Got it on the car, but I only have 2in on ground clearance on the driver side. WTF?? I would have thought it would have tucked up nicer under the car.

Compared to many catted Y's it's nice. The cats work very well, and no other company(I know of) makes a Y with removable cats. If you don't want leaks, just weld the joints up, and it's a one piece pipe...

Yes, a merge collector would be nice, but would also increase cost.

For a mass produced pipe, it's nice. Duals are the way to go of course, but for those wanting a catted Y, with the option of going off-road, you can't beat it.

BTW - you're going to see ANY true 3" pipe - dual or Y - from the side of the car on the drivers side to some extent. If you can't see it, you will feel it on the floor-board.

BUT 2in off the ground. That's ridiculous!! There is almost 6 in between it and the body.
