Why?

You can keep the CATS in their stock location and run duals off the bottom of them, of get shortie headers (CARB) with high flow CATS and then into duals.

I might be wrong as i don't full know CA state regs, but I'd be surprised if it was illegal to run duals. You just need to think about them first.

I love my GMMG!!! Sounds great and I had excellent gains between that and the headers...I vote GMMG. Stay with some high flow cats though to avoid all the rasp.....

Whoops, I forgot about that! Looks like I'm the Dee-de-de now for calling you out on it.

People voting in ancient polls annoys the **** out of me, even worse than gravedigging.

another idea would be to buy a magnaflow catback and add these mufflers instead of the tips.

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

the setup would be completely stainless

I'm glad it got bumped because I didn't realize that the stainless works was a 3".
I got in a wreck a while back and GMMG won't work with me at all on getting some replacement bends that are after the chambers. After I cut them off and cleaned everything up, I took out a measuring tape and saw that the after the over the pipe merge they were 2 1/2.....now that I know that the stainless is 3" outs I know what I am getting this Christmas.

Stainless Works will do 3.5" out as well if you ask, I have their regular muffler with 3.5" i-pipe and 3.5" out. I have their headers too with 2.5" y-pipe. Flows well and is great for a lowered car. No cats, just 2 bullets in the y-pipe where cats would normally go to get rid of rasp. They are located 25 minutes from me.

A friend had nothing but problems with his stainless works exhaust on his 98 trans am, everytime we went for a cruise it would end with me putting his exhaust back on since it would all ways come loose. My GMMG is amazing, install was awsome, fitment is nothing short of perfect, and I have never had an issue with this set up.
