Default Help picking good spark plugs.....

I have a 2000 C5 with an M6 and its a H/C car with 10.7:1 SCR. It has full intake and exaust with headers. I want to put good plugs in but don't know exactly what the best is, or where the best place to get them is.

Thanks in advance...

I would try a set of NGK TR55's first, then if the car breaks up on top end switch to TR6's.

With that compression ratio the TR-55's at stock gap should be fine.

Should I gap the AC Delco Idrium at .060 or leave them at the standard .040 for a 02 Camaro SS? I just want to squeeze as much power I can get out of them. Some say this other say that about what to do with this spark plug. What's the differents between the to gaps? Is the .040 is design to handle little spark power or whatever and the .060 can handle alot more whatever.

You should run a cooler plug with nitrous. TR6 is the most popular Nitrous plug.

So I should not spray with these plugs at all? I'll just have to switch out my plugs when I get the nitrous system hooked up. It won't be till next race season anyway. ..........

Where did you get your plugs at for that price?

I figure that before next race season (when I install the bottle) I'll switch out the plugs for the TR6's

I lived in Tacoma just over a year ago and I'm out in Denver now. We have lower octane here, 85 to 91 but with the elevation it's fine. Gas was $2.65 last night at the corner station.

if you wanna do it right you need to find out what your compression is with a compression tester. with a cam tr55 are prob going to be too hot, but taht depends on the cam.

00Vette, For spark plugs, try BRISK plugs. They are expensive but they are the best. You only get what you pay for. So why not pay for the best. BRISK.
