cats or no cats hey guys one problem im faceing is i dont want lt's but i dont want to run cats will i see a gain with out cats... if i get mid lenth headers what can i do to run no cats do i have to fab a pipe
I think MAC mid's come w/ a YPipe that have cats and ORP's to insert. Deleting Cats isn't that hard of a task, its a matter of pulling them out, and putting in a section of straight pipe inplace. W/ the MAC's you'll notice a nice gain by !Cats because the MAC cats flow worse than the stock Cats.
Mac has an ORY, so that'll work for you, if you "know" someone who will fab a y pipe without cats, you could go that route too.
Don't forget to get either O2 sims, or a tune to turn off the SES light as well

If you do have to pass a sniffer test, you'll be better off leaving the cats on (you can get highflow ones that only take 1-3 hp), if you have the OBD2 computer test, you can axe the cats, as that test will check is for error (ses) codes, if you want to be sneaky about it, just gut a set (take the catalyst brick and bust it out of the converter leaving just the shell) and put them on your Y pipe, you'll pass the visual with no probs (no I have no experience doing this

From what I hear pacesetters have close to the same ground clearance as mac middies but have better gains
