Just an observation.

The QTP fact discrepency is due to this thread being over a year old.
Ha, j/k yeah, they prob don't sell em like mine anymore, they knocked the price down for all the HVMC's as they improved the manufacture process shortly after I got mine.
I was sad, cause those are baller.

I'd just take the time and flip the X over to rule it out, I know it sux but its like night and day.

Ancient thread i know, but better than making a new one i guess..
Is it really necessary to drill the holes for the rear hangars if the system is extended to the rear using the hangars back there?

I'm only going to comment because I'm slightly drunk and wandered in here anyway.
Way to bring it back from the dead man.
My TSP kit is modified and extended out the back, and you have to think..
Without hanging it from the rear seat wells, you have the weight of the headers, plus the full weight of the dual kit, plus whatever it takes to extend it out the back, haning from the rear hangers and the header bolts only.
That seems a lot of weight for those two points, at least to me it does.
Why not secure it to the seat wells as well, only costs you a couple holes two bolts and some washers.
If you have a full over/under the axle kit I would do it.
But I am by no means the authority.

Yeah well you would normally have that cross brace thing that typically would support any single pipe y-pipe type setup. But that doesn't fit with this kit for sure.
Since you have to do away with that, and are left with the choice of cutting off the hangers or using them, I say just use em.
I've thought the same thing.
I almost wish I had more support for it, somewhere closer to the X pipe.
That's a lot of metal from the headers back so its for sure significant weight.
I know the several times I have been on my back putting that thing back on I've gotten tired holding it up.

I really like the setup, its what i would like to do with mine... I would really like to go out the back to a CME..
Not sure if the install is something i would want to do or not, but saving the money on the install would definitely help and im sure i could do it.. I know yours is an auto but I'm assuming it would be ok to put on an M6.. You don't have a clip of it anywhere already uploaded by chance do you? the link above was dead..
edit: as far as the install, if i were to do it i would only be doing the headers and true duals, everything from there back would probably be done by a shop, maybe even the same one TheBlurLS1 got his extended at..

Here's a clip of the TSP dual kit un modified on a stock cam 2000 LS1.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t42PP9-xPZk
And here's the TSP kit (on a mild 224/228 cam) after being reduced to 2.5" run over the axle, through two more 18" cheapo glasspacks and out the back to 3" stock looking tips.
Keep in mind, this has the original 18" dynomax bullets, and another set of 18" bullets. That's a lot of mufflage, and weight too sadly, but it refines the sound quite a bit.
