Magnaflow and Rasp will this help???? I ordered a moroso spiral muffler last night for 55 bucks. Now will it help the crappy rasp I'm getting in the 2000-2800 range. I know it's most likely cause by the y-collector which is POORLY designed by TSP but will the spiral muffler help this. I've heard it will stop the rasp but I'll take imput
First of all, it's NOT the "poorly designed TSP y-pipe". It doesn't matter what manufacturer you get a y-pipe from, if it doesn't have cats, it will be raspy with pretty much any catback except hooker. The rasp is a very common problem without cats. The extra muffler should take care of it though.

I have the magnaflow. I traded with TRMIN8R and there is rasp. It was a smooth great deal, but the rasp gotta go. I was told by someone on the boards that it's the TSP ORY that creates the rasp in relation to not having cats. Anyways just looking for some insight

Any LS1 without cats will have rasp, and the design of some ORYs only compounds it. I'd try some sort of a bullet or resonator, most people have luck with those. If that doesn't work, putting cats in will help the sound immensely.
