removing stock header?
removing stock header? hey guys can i leave my cats on while removing my stock headers cuz my cat bolts are rusted so bad its not even funny? or will the header not come of the car when its tme to put in the long tubes?

I'm pretty sure I've heard of people doing that....leaving the cats on the manifold and still getting the whole assembly out. Never did it that way myself but it can't hurt to try....

I dropped mine with the cats off, but afterwards realized that leaving them on would have saved me some time. The only problem I had was I also left the pre-cat O2 sensor on when I started to drop the driver's side exhaust manifold. It got caught and I ended up mangling it really bad in order to get the exhaust manifold to drop out.
Be ready to jack the car up REALLY high if you're not using a lift. I've got install pics on my site of my header install if you'd care to check them out.

I just installed the DynamaXX Lt's and took the stock converters off first. Bolts were also difficult. So a sprayed the sh*t off of the bolts w/WD40 and made a wrachet extender with some pipe to get extra torque which worked fine for me.

on my driver side i just jacked up the car with two 4x4's on top of eachother and it was high enough to get the manifold out with the cats. On the passenger i just used a 3/8 ratchet with an extension and yanked on it and just snaped all 3 studs
