Cutout ?

Cutout ? Okay I have a 1998 Camaro Z28. I have the loudmouth exhaust with stock cats and stock mainfolds. I was wondering what exactly I would need to buy for to run the QTP Electric Cutout and how loud would it be. Car is mainly just ran at my local track. Also how much quicker would my car be in the 1/4. Currently I have ran a best of 13.19. Thanks for your help.

Well it depends on where you want to put the cutout. If you want to just buy one you can put it before the muffler. All you would need to buy then is one Electric cutout from QTP, it comes with every thing you need to get it up and running. Not to sure about what you will pick up in the 1/4. You might pick up a few more ponies.
Forgot to mention on how loud it will be. Mine is pretty loud with all stock exhuast so id imagine that your car would be pretty dang loud with that loudmouth. But you can try ls1sounds.com and find out what it would sound like.
Should add about 10-12 hp at high rpm's when placed on the exit side of the y-pipe. It's important to note that this ls1 engine was putting down 550+ adjusted rwhp...big cam with heads, spray and other bolt-ons

I dont see the benefit to a single cutout on a Loudmouth. If you had a catback with a poor flowing muffler then it would make sense. If you put dual cutouts in the Y pipe then that would also make sense.

i agree with Uno99, there would really be not point to it performance or soundwise, b/c the loudmouth is very free-flowing, i mean you might pick up 1 or 2 ponies maybe, but nothing noticable in the 1/4. ALso, soundwise, loudmouths are already real loud, the only difference with the cutout is the sound would come from under the car, which means you'd probably hear and feel it inside more
