Default P/N for 2002 LS1 injector clips

You know those little metal clips that squeeze the injector harness plug onto the injector? They're like little U-shaped wires with L bends at the end and 45 degree bends on the sides?

Yeah, I lost one of those. And my local dealer doesn't know the part number. Do they have a separate number for those things?

This is a 2002 Camaro LS1, by the way.

How much of the connector is that? I don't want to be buying an entire section of harness or anything.

I lost one also and went to the local dealer and they said they come with each injector. So to get the little metal pos I had to get a $90 injector. I spent almost $300 on 8 injectors so there was no way I was spending that on just one. So I do not have a clip on injector #4. no problems either.

Go to a junk yard and get a couple. Take one for a sample.

It's one connector with a pigtail, probably 5" long. I had to buy one after breaking one on my engine swap.

From memory, it wasn't very expensive. Give SDPC a call >>-->

That's an example of a lazy parts guy.

Try GM P/N: 12554679

That might be just the clip.

I would call SDPC to verify.

I had that problem a while back. I went to the junkyard and and got some off of a chevy truck with a 5.3l engine. I took home the samples Look around and you will find the clips.

I was told by a few vendors that because the rails bolt down that the pressure will hold down the injectors and the clips really are not needed- makes sense to me.

Unless I'm mistaken, he's talking about a different clip He's talking about the clip on the connector. Not the one that holds the injector in the rail.

If you lost it, i would make DAMN sure it diddnt fall into a head or somthing like that

Just for next time, you can pop just one side of the clip out, and the connector will usually come off. After you do this, snap the metal clips back into the same position they were before you messed with them. When you go to re-install, just plug them in, the clips will click over their keepers and they will not fall off while you are working on stuff, plus your friend wont kick over the parts bucket you set them in and scatter them all over the place :box:

You don't have to pop one side off. Just push at the middle towards the connector and pull it off of the injector.

Junkyard owners are idiots. I haven't found any camarobirds or corvettes yet. Which GM trucks had LSxs in them?
