Default Truck Intake Manifold power vs. LS6 intake?

It looks to be a given that the use of an LS6 manifold on any LS1 engine will provide more power than the stock LS1 intake manifold.

Is there any power to be gained on an LS1 over the stock intake by using a truck manifold if there is room under the hood? If so, would the LS6 intake still make more than the truck intake?

Thanks,
Mike

Like you said, the truck manifold won't fit under a stock hood. The truck manifold works well on trucks and enhances torque production. The LS6 is a better performer however. Not to mention the truck manifold is butt ugly!

Thanks for the info. The engine wouldn't be in a GM vehicle and I believe there would be room for the truck manifold, but if the LS6 manifold is better overall, then it's a non-starter.

Thanks! That is exactly what I needed to verify that using the truck manifold is not the right tool in a car. I'm not that interested in max torque at lower RPM, so it looks like the LS6 intake is the way to go.

It's not that I didn't believe Redneck Z, but it's nice to see the graphs and understand the "why".
