TPS voltage??
The only way to check it without scanmaster, autotap, Tech II or some other computer device, is to pierce the wires with the meter leads and I would not recommend that since it will allow moisture to introduce itself.
Years ago Mid-America used to make insert connectors with leads on them to connect to a multimeter. But I believe that was only L98 & LT1 stuff. They were nifty little tools until the scanmaster came along.

I got mine to 4.69 - 4.70 volts and called it good.
