Default under teh axle TDs

what would be the problems of going under the axle. seems like only problem would be speed bumps. if you went over them fast and the bump landed on the pipe. just seems like there is so much more room and easier than going over the axlel.

There is no problem with it what so ever. That is exactly what I did (and I am not the only one). My car is a daily driver and I have had them under the axle for about 2 years now and I have not had a single problem. Speed bumps are not an issue because the pipes are attached to the car, so if the car raises up so does the exhaust. I live in Arizona so there are plenty of steep driveways and large speed bumps and as I said never had a single problem.

Furthermore I have never seen one person post or talk about how their under axle true duals scraped, was a bad idea, got damaged, etc.

So what are the advantages/disadvantages of going under rather than over the axle?

Mostly......cost. It costs more to go over, there is quite a bit more involved. Size of piping matters also. Very difficult to get two 3" pipes over the axle. And the least concern exhaust flow. Under is a lot less bends and a freer flowing exhaust, but I meant you are probably talking about less than a 1/4 horsepower difference between the two.

I think the only downfall is that going under the axle makes the exhaust look a little funny from the back. But I still absolutely love DVST8OR's car

Clearance and money are the only two I can think of.

my car was lowered 1" and i never had a problem. i had flo pro twisters directly behind the exhaust tips so they were way off the ground.
