How to prevent leaky headers???
What do you guys suggest? Should I buy some gaskets? What brand? Or should I silicone those babies in there and swap out some "slow switching" 02 sensors for a couple hundred miles till it burns any excess silicone away.
On another thought. Silicone and paper are pretty good insulators and could contribute to lower head temps.
Let me know what works best.
Make sure to use some never-cease on the bolts when re-installing them, and make sure not to over torque.
When I re-assemble my engine (it's outta the car getting new heads, cam, intake, timing chain, & oil pump), the Kooks will be installed using ARP header studs.

Stock GM gaskets work awesome. I put my headers on and I never had to touch the bolts again. No leaks at all.
