Default Cutout on stock setup/catback???

Has anyone put a cutout on a stock setup??? I'm trying to figure out the best, cheapest way to get a stock manifold/cats and catback setup LOUD. I'm thinking of getting a Powerstick/Stainless works and putting it in the I pipe of the Rumbler or LM. Then thinking about a cutout before the chambered muffler in the I. But, I wonder if it will sound good with stock cats and manifold??? Anyone tried it? Thanks!
-I never thought of a GMMG with a cutout, wonder if that might do the trick??
....expensive though.

I had a cut out on the stock manifolds and to me you can't beat the performance/sound for the price DO it you will not be disappointed. O have Lt's now with ORY still running through the stock exhaust. TD are getting installed on Mon. I just could not see spending the money on a cat back until I got the Lt's.

Currently my car has the single outlet, cuz its a 98 ss, so im tired of that, and i want more sound. Im not doing TD's cuz i dont want LOUD all the time like my friends have, and even though im really carefull w/ my car, i dont want to baby it too much.

For now i see that i can get some more power, and sound with the cutout open or closed

the look of duals, and when i get LT's it will be good.

A cutout and lid should be the first mods you do when getting a LS1 car. The cutout sounds good with the manifolds/cats. Mine is alot louder and sounds better since I gutted the cats.

well I have to agree with them cutouts sound pritty dang good even on stock manifolds and cats. the best thing is if you decide to get headers and ORY you can keep running it though the cut out and let me justs say damn!! you wont regret it for a minute

Drop a 3" cutout under the passenger side rear seat.

That's what I have. I have a couple clips of mine with cutout open. Sounds pretty darn good on a stock manifold/catted car.

i have !muffler (basically the same as cutout) and lets jsut say theres no other ls1 around here that sounds better that has stock manis and cats. i COULD be biased about it, but thats just my personal opinion. if you decide on a cutout and !muffler, everyone will be asking you what exhaust you have bc they like it so much, then you can just grin and say "what exhaust? i dont have one."

I've heard of a lot of guys running their Cutout under the rear passenger seat. What I dont get though, is if I do that.....the chambered muffler will be in front of the cutout. Whats the point of putting a cutout behind the muffler??? It should go before the muffler in the I pipe to make it louder, right? .....But hey, thanks for all of the responses guys! I'm definetely going to roll with a QTP electric.

Didnt you say you had a stock setup? If it is then you are confused about the location of your muffler. If you get under your car and take a look you will see where the I pipe bends to go over the axle, directly in front of that is where you want the cut out installed.

I do have a stock setup as of now, but I'm going to do a Catback with a Chambered muffler in the I pipe.....with a cutout. So, when the cutout is closed I'll still sound good....instead of just stock. Probably do a TSP Rumbler with a Powerstick or Stainless Works Chambered in the I, instead of the Dynomax bullet.
