there would be absolutely not point in mounting it behind the "muffler"

I was thinking there would be absolutely no point in putting a cutout in a loud mouth!

If you can stuff it before the muffler, it's the only place it would do any good at. It won't give you but 1/12th of a hp, but it will change the sound.

pointless on loudmouth, since its a straight through exhaust its not restrictive and theres no point in it.

Put 2 of them after the muffler for best results.

ok guys thanks for bustin my *****?? i wasnt thinking when i wrote to put it behind the muffler or resonator, as to where a normal cat back has the muffler in the rear, but on a serious note, it is really not worth anything to put a ele cut out on with a loudmouth, i understand that it is a very free flow exhaust just wondering if it was worth it and if so where to mount it . if not you just saved me $200. thanks again

Not true....I actually just wen to the dyno 3 days ago feeling like my car had lost power. Sure enough after switching to my loudmouth catback from running stock exhaust with a cutout I had lost 18rwhp changing nothing. Tune still dead on as well, ide say it matters.

i believe that happened to you, but thats a freak occurence, in 99% of cases a loudmouth is gona be +/- 2hp from a cut out

there is no way in hell you loose that much power from switching stock exhaust/cutout to a loudmouth. No way in hell. If anyhting, the loudmouth should put you where that cutout was, give or take a little hp. There is something else wrong there, get your car checked man.

I'm with them. NO WAY there was an 18rwhp difference between stock catback with cutout and Loudmouth. Something else is/was going on there.

Ummmmm ... do you mean the cut-out was CLOSED and you lost 18hp as compared to the LM?

And btw, no point in installing a cut-out with a LM. It doesn't fit either. I made the same mistake when i ordered a cut-out and LM as my first two mods. Needless to say, the cut-out was returned about 3 days later.
