Default Did you feel a difference?

When I put my headers on, my car was down for a month because my license was gone. When I drove it, I didnt think it made a difference, it maybe felt slower... Is it hard to tell, or is there something wrong with my car. At the time I did not have my 02 sensors hooked up, and I was running the headers open. it was loud, but I didnt get the kick I was looking for. Is this because of the O2 sensors? Or am I just imagining things..

Its a 6 speed, I got it to 70 or so... Just sounded loud... Is it possible without the O2 sensors my car was running full rich?

I'd bet that it was the oxygen sensors not being hooked up...I personally would not even drive my car without the front 02s hooked up...to much of a risk that your a/f ratio could go lean and damage the motor.

I noticed that you also have an lt1...most of us here don't have alot of experience with those motors.

oh... "those" motors. lol I had to test drive it, I didnt have the cash at the time. It would ease my mind to know that my car was running weak because of the 02 sensors not being hooked up

if you didn't have the 02 sensors hooked up then your cars air/fuel ratios were all over the place. I wouldn't drive without them hooked up. Once you get them put back in and hooked up you WILL feel a difference!

Of course you're not going to feel much of a difference with no O2's hooked up AND running open headers. You not only screwed up what the PCM is trying to do you also took away all of your low end umph.

Don't make any assumptions or decisions until you get everything hooked up right.
